Moonlight Cake House @ Tmn Pelangi, Johor Bahru.
Moonlight Cake House is well known for their bakery and cake. I'm one of the frequent buyer of their bread and cake.
It's latest renovated outlet in Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru, which provided a decent place for your dining, with more seats and space for private function. It's still located at the same place, corner shoplot, with beautifully decorated and design.
The new renovated shoplot have 3 floors. As you enter, you will find the counter of selling the cake and bread. The big dining space is at 2nd floor, which can cater more customer compare to the old shop, and the 3rd floor is the space for private function.
I and my friends came and tried some of their signature meals. We started our meal with mushroom soup. The soup is put in a bread instead of a bowl. The bread can be eat together with the soup. A great starter of our feast. Every spoon of soup, you can feel the rich and thickness, and the moderate taste, not salty, but very well to warm your empty stomach.
As I flipped through the menu, there are so many choices, from western cuisine to local cuisine. One of the great fusion between local and western- salted egg Norwegian salmon, which is my favourite too.
If you come with a big gang, why not order a sharing platter. Moonlight Cake House offers seafood platter, which shows the variety of fresh seafood, with some salad and potato wedges.
One of their signature dish, Moonlight spaghetti, which you can see a half-boiled egg yolk in the middle of the spaghetti plate, together with some cheese flakes and sauce. One of the great fusion, and taste great after you mix the egg yolk into the spaghetti noodles.
Another salted egg series food- fried rice with chicken and floss. The taste of salted egg is not strong, but you feel it every spoon you eat, which will not make you feel uneasy with overload cholesterol. With salted egg, it enhances the appetite to eat the fried rice; plus taste is great.

Italian style risotto, which can be found in the menu. Risotto in Italy is normally a first course, served on its own before the main course.
Another chef recommended main course- Spaghetti with lamb shank. The flesh of lamb shank is soft and well cooked, with sufficient seasoning. According to the chef, the lamb is cooked over hours before served.
