A big Congratulation to Restaurant Lemon Tree, for their 7th outlet in Johor Bahru.
The latest outlet located at Tmn Desa Jaya, which is easy to spot with obvious corner shoplot.
Personally, Restaurant Lemon Tree is one of the restaurant which I visit frequently in Johor Bahru.
The great thing about Lemon Tree is the affordable price with quality food served.

You can find both local and western cuisine in this restaurant. It can range from pasta, rice, burger, pizza, meat and many more. 
Tubular pasta mostaccioli is well served with the cheese and tomato sauce, with the right portion and taste. It's look like lasagna in appearance. The mostaccioli absorbs the sauce, not hard, just firm.

If you not really fancy about the cheese, why not try this Seafood Aglio Olio pasta. All variety of seafood are on the top of pasta, such as the big prawn, squid and clam.

Personally I like this beef burger and the perch fish. The texture of the beef is much firm compare to the others, but it well match with the black pepper mushroom sauce, which specially make by the chef.
For the fish chip, the chef used Perch fish instead of commonly seen dory fish. It's great to eat without any sauce, since it's fresh without the fishy odour.
For this 2 course, you can pick the side dish that you prefer, from salad, wedges, french fries, mash potato and fried onion ring.

In Restaurant Lemon Tree, not only the western cuisine, you can find some local meal, such as rice with chicken. Price is affordable and you get more than what you pay.

It's always great to have some sweet dessert as the ending of a meal. Try their Tiramisu, which have the rich aroma of coffee in every bite of tiramisu.

Halba buffet @ Lada&Clove, Trove Hotel, Johor Bahru.

Thinking about the buffet in Johor Bahru, almost all hotel served it, with different variety and theme. 
The buffet is not just all-you-can-eat, eating buffet in the same time let us spend time to appreciate the wide variety of food, and also a platform of reunion. 
Trove Hotel , which is centrally located in Johor Bahru, offers a competitive RM 68nett for their Halba Buffet.  



Halba , a type of spice and herb, which used it in most of the dishes served in buffet, and become the the theme of buffet. This spice also enhance the fragrance and taste of the food. 
The man behind this Halba buffet is the hotel's very own Executive Sous Chef, Fadzren Oyob and his team of talented chef.

The nutritious and healthy sandwich with different ingredients is also one of the highlight in buffet.

One of the thing I find it interesting about the Halba, which is the great taste of Nasi Lemak Pak Malim. The rice is cooked just nice, with infused not only the coconut milk and pandan leaves, but also the Halba spice. 
Besides the nasi lemak, there are many other choice for  main course, such as yong chow fried rice, Hainanese chicken rice,  fried mee hoon with dried shrimp, fish head curry and etc...



The buffet also gives the tourist and hotel guests to experience a potpourri of Malaysian flovours and cultures while visiting Malaysia. It's really amazing that Roti John, Murtabak and Johor Laksa which is more well known to be the street food in Johor Bahru, can be served in the hotel as buffet .

Another highlight of the buffet will be this eye-catching chicken skewers ( Ayam percik ). Personally I like this chicken skewer a lot, soft and tasty.

For dessert, I just can't stop myself to take almost all with one portion. Most of it served in a small little plate or cup. From cakes, brownies, puff, pudding, mousse, fruit trifle, eclair, jelly, and some Malay Kuihs such as Fried Banana, etc.
I likes this Brownies, good texture with mild sweetness.

There is also a section, where you can make your own salad, ice shaved (Ice Kacang) and Rojak, with the ingredients you like.

This Halba buffet is offers in limited time, only at Saturday, 12pm-4pm. 
The buffet in Lada& Clove will change their theme every month, with interesting and new menu. 
If you wanna try Halba buffet with only RM68nett, do come on this Saturday (27/10/2018) to indulge yourself with variety of all-you-can-eat food.

Oc'daka 黑台客 @ Mount Austin, Johor Bahru.

Personally I like Taiwan foodies, especially if you have visited or traveled to Taiwan before.
Oc'daka, which claimed to serve the authentic Taiwanese food, in the heart of Mount Austin hipster area, same row with Warakuya restaurant.







One of my favourite drink- brown sugar milk, with great taste and choice of milk and acceptable sweetness.

O'cdaka served vegetarian friendly meals and snack- such as the pancake.



Oyster meesuah, which you should not miss if you come to Oc'daka. Really have very close taste with the one I have in Taiwan.



There are set lunch, which is much cheaper and big portion, together with a glass of drink.



A very cute design for little kids...


The fusion of sweet and salty- Special Oden with an apple in the middle of pot. The taste of apple had enrich the sweetness of soup, blend well with other traditional Oden ingredients.
Something worth to have a try when you visit Oc'daka.
