Talking about the latest hotel in Johor Bahru, Capri by Fraser is something you should not miss.
With their strategic location, just a stone throw from JB CIQ and shopping malls, the hotel welcoming their guest with their great service.
It's my pleasure to have a chance to try their High Tea and BBQ Dinner last weekend with gang of blogger/media friends.

As I stepped into the hotel lobby, the luxurious, spacious design attracted my eyeballs. Took the lift, heading to the dining area in hotel, I saw this!!!

The great thing I like the most about BBQ dinner in Capri by Fraser will be cooked upon request. There are wide variety of ingredients for you to choose for the chef to grill for you. The food will serve to you warm and fresh after ready. I like this kind of service!

So while waiting for the chef to grill your food of your choice outdoor, there are some other food you can have , range from appetizer, soup, bread, main course, salad bar, fruits, dessert and drinks. You will find the food you like from the wide range of choice.

Overall, the food are great, not too oily, not salty, but tasty, with great choice of spice and ingredient used.

PS: There are not much choice for drink in buffet dinner, so far only coffee and tea. However, the coffee is great and the tea is from Harney & Sons, which is one of brand served the finest premium tea.

Recommend their High Tea set, which have 2 choices- Traditional English set and Local set. .

English High Tea Set

Local High Tea Set

What I like the most about the High Tea set in Capri by Fraser:
- Local set. This is something special, which not all place and hotel serve this. The food you can have in Local set is all the snack we can see in our local dish, with the idea of fusion with High tea layout presentation.
- Want to know more about Malaysia local food? Bring your foreigner friends to try this Local High Tea set. In a set, you can taste multiracial uniqueness food, such as Malay Kuih, Chinese dumpling and Indian Satay. I found it great to introduce the local food to foreigner
- If you prefer Western English set, Capri by Fraser have the set, with reasonable price. Personally, I like their sandwich.

Soho Spa Review, KSL Mall Johor Bahru.

16:22 Jia Ying 0 Comments

From my friends recommendation, I have the chance to know Soho Spa, which is located opposite of KSL Shopping mall, Johor Bahru.
Soho Spa have the strategic location, which is just a road opposite from KSL shopping mall, which provide the mind and body relaxing aromatherapy and massage after tiring walking and working.

As I stepped in to the shop, there is a row of sofa, which the space for the foot massage.

For aromatherapy and body massage, there are few private rooms, which are clean and nice.

As there are so many shop provide massage and aromatherapy, the most important thing I'm looking for will be the skills of masseur and masseuse. Soho Spa is quite transparent about this part, which display all their masseur and masseuse professional certificate.

I chose the 1 hour aromatherapy with lemon grass essence oil, not just because of the great smell, lemongrass essential oil is also used to alleviate stress and relieve pain.
Besides lemon grass, there are wide variety of essence oil you can choose, depend on your preference and need.
doTERRA essential oil is used. Each doTERRA essential oil is also carefully and thoroughly tested using the strict CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® quality protocol. ( Source :  https://www.doterra.com/MY/en_MY/why-doterra )

There are lots of benefit of doing aromatherapy, which is not just purely for relaxing, and also have the health benefits.
Source : https://www.lovingessentialoils.com/blogs/essential-oil-tips/5-aromatherapy-massage-benefits-you-will-enjoy

What I like the most about Soho Spa :
- Masseuse's skill : The strength is sufficient, with right application to the right point in my body, starting from the back, shoulder, hand, leg, stomach and head.
- Hygiene : The facilities and towels are all clean. As before the massage you may need to remove all your cloth, and they provides disposable panty for body massage.
- Price and service: With the skills and facilities provided, the price is reasonable and affordable. The price list is clear display in front of the counter of shop. Great service is given , with a warm ginger tea after the massage.

What I dislike about Soho Spa :
It's highly recommended to park your car inside KSL shopping mall, or taking a public transport to KSL shopping mall, and walk to Soho Spa. There are limited parking spaces in front of the shop.

4D3N Siem Reap Travel Guide: Itinerary,Tips & Budget

17:25 Jia Ying 0 Comments

Siem Reap, the most popular tourist city in Cambodia, due to the historical UNESCO World Heritage Angkor Archaelogical sites.
It's very easy and budget vacation you can plan and DIY by yourself.

Here's my 4D3N itineraries:

Day 1 : Arrived Siem Reap International Airport  ( Early Morning ) -->Check in --> Rest --> Old Market --> Wat Preah Promrath --> Lunch --> Lucky Mall --> Rest --> Buy Angkor Archaeological Park ticket --> Sunset at Phnom Bakheng --> Dinner

Tips :
- There is no LRT/MRT in Siem Reap. The most convenience transport will be tuk tuk or taxi. If you are going to take tuk tuk throughout your trip in Siem Reap, do remember to bring the sunglasses and face mask, which can block the dust and wind.
- The ticket of Angkor Archaeological Park issued after 5pm are valid for the next day. You can buy the ticket at 5pm, and immediately visit one of the temple before sunset.

Angkor Day pass

Day 2 : Sunrise at Angkor Wat --> Breakfast --> Banteay Srey --> Preah Khan --> Bayon --> Ta Keo --> Ta Prohm --> Banteay Kdei --> Sras Srang --> Pubstreet

Big crowd, just to witness the sunrise of Angkor.

It's really cheap to get a good coconut in Siem Reap.

Banteay Srey

Tips:
- I'm not a big fans of temple in Angkor, therefore I tried to squeeze as much temple as possible in one whole day, starting from sunrise, until sunset.
- There is not much notice board regarding the history of the temple. Therefore, if you plan your own trip for Angkor, you may need search the info from internet, to have better understanding on the place you visited, or even bring a travel book with you, so you know what is worth to see and their story behind.

Day 3: Kampong Phluk Floating village --> Lunch --> Massage -->Art Market --> King Road Angkor Market --> Angkor Night Market --> Dinner.

Floating village

Tips:
-Day 3 is more relaxing day, as I tried to visit some other part of Siem Reap besides Angkor. - There are few floating village in Siem Reap, and I chose the village that is the nearest to the town.
- The floating village in Cambodia is different if compare to Thailand or Vietnam. In my opinion, I highly recommended to add floating village in your itinerary.

Angkor old market - Place to have your souvenir in Siem Reap

Day 4 : Depart from Siem Reap International Airport

Basic Budget ( 1 person) :
Flight ticket :  AirAsia RM 305 ( no check-in luggage, not promo price)
Accommodation : 3 nights RM215.60/2 = RM 107.80 ( inclusive airport pick up and send off, with tuk-tuk)
tuk-tuk transport  : USD 35/ 2 = USD 17.50 (1.5 day- for temple hopping)
Kampong Phluk Floating village half day trip tour : USD 18
Angkor Archaeological Park ticket ( 1 Day) : USD 37

Date visited : 4th Dec-7th Dec 2018
